A familiar place for your customers.

01 / NATIVE TO YOUR PRODUCT

One product.
Every business’s own receptionist.

No two businesses answer the same way. Tether is designed to let each customer manage their agent’s knowledge and instructions in your app, while you keep control of the customer experience.

BUILT AROUND EACH BUSINESSIn staging

Their business. Their answers.

Help customers turn their hours, services and frequently asked questions into an agent draft. They can refine the answers before publishing a version for use.

Keep customers in your app.

Offer agent setup as part of the workflow customers already know, with your product as their starting point.

Give each business its own answers.

Each company’s agent configuration is scoped separately, with access checked on the server. One business’s instructions should never become another’s.

Improve it before callers hear it.

Review drafts and run private tests before phone activation. Publishing a version alone does not switch on a customer’s line.

02 / HOW IT FITS YOUR PRODUCT

Your customers know
their business best.

Give them a way to put that knowledge to work on the phone.

In this Tether example, one business adds its opening hours. Another explains its service area. A third defines which questions the agent should leave to a person. Your platform provides the experience; Tether handles the voice infrastructure.

Pay for usage.

Plan around your customers’ call volume, not an unlimited-call promise. AI minutes, phone calls, number rental and messaging are priced separately so you can estimate the full cost.

04 / GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you connect.

Is Tether for a business or a software platform?

Both. This page is for software teams embedding agents for their customers. If you want a receptionist for your own business, explore Tether for businesses. Both routes start with assisted pilots; public self-service is not open yet.

Can customers test without buying a number?

That is the intended starting point: authenticated, private browser voice tests against a saved configuration. This capability is in staging validation, not a public demo on this page. Text testing is not advertised as a substitute for voice quality.

Can they keep their current phone number?

We are planning separate paths for forwarding, supported SIP connections and porting. Availability depends on the number and carrier, and none is self-service today. Forwarding voice does not move SMS. Porting requires verification and an explicitly approved cutover.

Where do audio and business knowledge go?

Tether runs its communications infrastructure on operator-controlled servers. The current voice implementation uses an external AI provider. Recording and transcript retention are separate choices; self-hosted transport does not mean all processing is local. A pilot needs an agreed data-processing and retention policy.

Why separate AI, phone and messaging charges?

These are different services. A browser test can use AI without a phone carrier; a transfer can create multiple carrier legs. A rented number has a recurring cost even with no calls. Long or Unicode SMS can use several billable segments. We intend to itemize these instead of promising unlimited usage. Rates and billing increments must be agreed before paid activation.

Can I sign up or buy a plan now?

Not through this preview. Pricing is proposed, payment is not connected and the pilot brief below stays on your device. A verified contact channel, final terms and product acceptance must be in place before public launch.
